Hi everyone, I have seen many people share similar feedback. Ive only had my floor 3 years and experienced all the same things - cracking, buckling. I had a couple contractors come out to give me an opinion. They checked instillation and said it was done correctly. I have 3 children all under 5, and they hurt themselves weekly on the cracks and breaks. After reading all the feedback, I am feeling like I wont get any help from either Floor and Decor or NuCore. Have contacted the lawyer, but no reply.

Hi Tom - Sorry to hear that your flooring is buckling and you are trying to get it fixed. I have no affiliation at all with Floor & Decor or NuCore. I have however installed two different brands of LVP and from how you describe the buckling, it sounds like the person who installed it didn't leave 1/4 gap all around the room where the flooring meets the wall for the flooring to expand. Not sure, but both the LVP flooring that I installed in my home stated in the instructions that the boxes of flooring are supposed to be open in the room for at least for 24 hours so the planks can take on the air of the room and expand as needed. After 24 hours then they can be installed with 1/4 gap for any further expansion due to humidity levels. I hope you can get the fix that is needed.

Hi Aimee - I was not paid for the NuCore Review. I bought the NuCore flooring at Floor & Decor back in 2015. I think it was a new product back then. The only thing I tell homeowners that have left comments telling me the flooring was not good for them is that the company must have changed how the flooring is made now. All the rooms where we installed NuCore - 8 years ago now look great, even at at entrance door to the house that gets the most foot traffic.

The planks of the the flooring I have have wood texture grain on the surface and cork undersides. I am not sure if they make this style anymore as I haven't been to a Floor & Decor recently.

I have another type of LVP in my home that also looks great and has held up beautifully. I would highly recommend it. It is from Tarkett called ProGen. You can read about it here: https://inmyownstyle.com/how-to-install-tarkett-progen-luxury-vinyl-plank-flooring-tips.html

We had NuCore LVT installed in my down stairs areas, 2500 Sq. Ft. in the Family Room, Kitchen, Dinning Room and Living Room in November 2023 it is now July 2024 and the floor is buckling and lifting at the seams. This floor has now become a tripping hazard. I have talked to the store manager where we bought the flooring (Floor & Decor), who sent the complaint and photos to his boss in the Corp Office. I got an email for a person in that office and said the complaint was under review. we have not heard from them for over 3 weeks. My wife was able to call the person that sent the Email to us and was told it is still under review. It looks like we will be joining all the other people that have been screwed by NuCore and Floor & Decor.
Incase anyone wants her information it is Angela Howard, Product Resolution Advocate, Floor & Decor (404) 618-2704. email productresolution@flooranddecor.com.
Needless to say we are very unhappy with this product and Floor & Decor.
I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I love my NuCore flooring, and I've had it for several years now. It is so low maintenance. I live in a humid climate, and I used it to replace some hardwood that was warping. It looks like the day it was put in. I'm really glad I went with LVP and happy I went with this brand.

Note: Installing it properly seems to be important. I had professionals install mine. Never any issues.

What about plastic chair wheels on the Nucore LVP? Do they scratch the flooring, do I need a chairmat that won't leave a residue? Or should I change out wheels to rubber?

Gonna join a lawsuit . The plank I bought is discontinued now . They should take the whole line off the market .

Hi Jolene - In my studioffice I have a FLOR tile rug right on top of the NuCore flooring. It has a hard vinyl backing, but no pad. When I clean under it, the NuCore flooring looks fine, like new. In my bathrooms with NuCore I use cotton rugs in front of the sink. They slide around easily since there is no backing on them. In my game/fitness room where we have LVP, not NuCore I don't have a rug so I may not be the best to answer your question.
